July 4th marks the birthday of the United States. Many celebrate the birthday with fireworks, cookouts, and/or displaying an American flag.
Scripture offers at least four other reasons to celebrate:
Gratitude for Religious Freedom
Appreciation for Those Who Defend Our Freedom
Thankfulness for Peace within our Family, Neighbors, and Friends
Thanksgiving for the Opportunity to Participate in Government
Remember that in Christ, you have the freedom to draw near to God, to tell God anything you wish, without holding back. You can express to Him not only your joys but also your sorrows, not only your assurances but also your doubts, not only your pleasures but also your angers.
This is an amazing freedom that is given to all of us by Christ!
